Preco Safety Products has rolled out its SRS, or short range sound, Back-up Alarm, created to lessen the noise pollution traditionally associated with back-up alarms.
The alarm is equipped with "Narrow Band" technology that emits sound at multiple frequencies but only within a small range. The system works to differentiate itself from ambient noise while at the same time minimizing annoyance.
Preco made the SRS with its patented speaker and driver hybrid construction. The sound it creates should dissolve quicker than a pure-tone or broadband alarm, the company says.
