Mobile Awareness has released the Sensor Enhancement version of its SenseStat Obstacle Detection Sensor System, which detects objects at the rear of a vehicle.
The new Sensor Enhancement design provides greater protection of the sensors and more mounting flexibility.

The Obstacle Detection Sensor System can detect objects within 1 inch of the vehicle by monitoring four zones. The company says it is affordable and can be used on commercial, off-road, lift truck and construction vehicles.

The system can be installed directly to the vehicle, either vertically or horizontally, and is made to stay secure in harsh conditions. New models include the wireless, wired truck and trailer and the wired box truck, which all feature an LED display showing the direction or location of an object or person.

"Mobile Awareness continues to see an increasing demand among commercial fleets for more cost effective and easily installed safety systems," said Brandon Stotsenburg, director of sales and marketing at Mobile Awareness. "To that end, we continue to focus on new product development that offers a lower total cost of ownership such as the SenseStat SE."

Mobile Awareness, out of Cleveland, Ohio, creates and markets transportation safety products, including accident prevention systems.
