SmartHop, a startup company that aims to automate the route planning and dispatching process for truckers, has received an investment from Las Olas Venture Capital.

The funding from this financing round will be used to expand engineering, sales and customer success capabilities as the company builds its product. Early adopters of SmartHop’s system include independent truck drivers and partners such as Anheuser Busch InBev.

SmartHop’s platform uses machine-learning to automate planning, dispatch, and demand management processes to offer intelligent recommendations. Shippers and brokers can also use the platform to access available supply for load matching.

The company aims to reduce waste in the load matching process and make pairing available capacity with brokers and shippers a more efficient process.

“SmartHop is solving a huge problem for the trucking industry that has had limited technology solutions, and we are excited to be working together" said Esteban Reyes, LOVC founding partner.
