HDT Seeks Fleets to Participate in Safety Survey

What are other fleets doing about advanced safety technology? Safety training and driver incentives? Speed limiters and in-cab cameras? HDT’s second annual safety survey aims to find out.

The editors of Heavy Duty Trucking and sister brand Work Truck launched the annual study last year to offer insight into safety and compliance practices and trends among truck fleets.

In light of industry issues such as skyrocketing insurance costs, nuclear verdicts, the driver shortage, and possible new regulatory mandates such as speed limiters and active collision mitigation, we want to learn more about how today's trucking fleets are working to improve safety.

Readers are asked to complete a short survey about what safety technologies and practices they're using and what they're considering adopting in the future. Those who complete the survey will receive a special report on the results that they can benchmark their fleets against.

The survey results will be used in the HDT annual Fact Book, a special August issue detailing industry statistics and trends. They also will be used in other safety reporting by HDT editors and by our sister Bobit fleet media brands, such as Work Truck.
