TransComply Launches Carrier Food-Safety Compliance Tool

The Uniform Food Safety Transportation Protocol is available now for use by motor carriers to comply with mandates from shippers and their broker agents under the new Food and Drug Administration rule for sanitary transportation of human and animal food, according to TransComply.

FDA Reveals Final Rule for Hauling Food Safely

Final FDA Sanitary Transportation of Human and Animal Food rule differs in numerous ways from the agency's original proposal.

The Food and Drug Administration announced on Feb. 5 that it has finalized a rule that will require certain shippers, loaders, carriers by motor or rail vehicle, and receivers involved in transporting human and animal food to use sanitary practices to ensure the safety of that food.
