Weights and Measures Group to Vote on Diesel Gallon Equivalent Standard for Natural Gas

The National Conference of Weights and Measures has announced that a special steering committee is recommending that compressed and liquefied natural gas be sold in gasoline and diesel gallon equivalents.

ACT Research Offers Online Natural Gas Calculators

ACT Research Co. has released online fuel payback calculators that can help companies make the best fuel choices for their applications. The calculators, which are available at no charge at ACT’s website, allow fleets to easily calculate the diesel gallon equivalent of CNG or LNG at the pump as the commodity cost of natural gas changes.

Clean Energy Opens First LNG Station in Florida

Clean Energy Fuels Corp. announced the opening of the first liquefied natural gas fueling station in Florida, as well as the opening of the company’s America’s Natural Gas Highway stations in Pontoon Beach, Ill., and Fontana, Calif., to fuel heavy-duty natural gas trucks.
