FMCSA Orders South Dakota Carrier, Driver Out of Service

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has declared a Mitchell, South Dakota-based trucking company and its owner-driver to be imminent hazards to public safety and ordered both to immediately cease all interstate and intrastate commercial operations.

South Dakota I-29 Closed Due to Flooding

South Dakota state officials closed Interstate 29 in southeast South Dakota at noon today, Central time. The Big Sioux River is predicted to crest in the morning or early afternoon hours of Friday, June 20 and is expected to send a significant amount of water into low lying areas of southeast South Dakota.
