The Journal of Commerce reports an agreement has been reached on a plan creating a “gray” chassis pool that would allow truckers to freely interchange chassis throughout the Port of New York and New Jersey as soon as early next year.
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has approved the continuation of a program that helps port truckers replace older, higher-polluting vehicles with newer, cleaner burning ones.
