Ford's 2015 F-150 crew cab model has been named a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, while the extended cab model was rated as good by the group.

Ford Trains 8,000 on Aluminum F-150 Production

Ford is putting 8,000 of its workers through an intensive training program to ensure everyone knows how to work with the new materials, such as aluminum panels,in the 2015 F-150 full-size pickup at its Kansas City Assembly Plant.

2015 F-150 Rated Lowest Lifecycle Carbon Footprint

The 2015 Ford F-150 has been rated to have the lowest impact on the environment, lowest cost of ownership, and the top-rated production chain in terms of social justice among full-size pickup trucks, according to an automotive research firm.

Ford Debuts F-150 Ads In College Football Playoff

Ford will launch a comprehensive marketing campaign for its aluminum-body 2015 F-150 pickup during the first-ever college football playoff on New Year's Day with TV commercials, Web episodes, radio ads, event marketing, and a mobile device campaign.

Aluminum Parts Save 707 Pounds in F-150 Weigh-In

Ford executives showed two trucks on scales to demonstrate the light-weighting of the new truck when compared to the 2014 model-year version.

A 2015 F-150 Lariat SuperCrew 4x4 with a 2.7L V-6 EcoBoost engine scaled at 4,942 pounds, while a comparable 2014 F-150 Lariat SuperCrew 4x4 with a 5.0L V-8 weighed 5,674 pounds.
