A. The self-adjusting mechanism on the Eaton Solo Advantage and EverTough self-adjust models does not require manual adjustment. In normal operation, the clutch will make periodic adjustments to keep the bearing position in an optimal position for bearing travel and plate load. The only time there may be a need to make any manual adjustment is in the rare case of an over-adjust event. In that case, the reset procedure in the CLSM 0200 (heavy duty clutch service manual) or the CLSM 0100 (medium duty clutch service manual) should be followed.
