IMI Launches Facebook Campaign for Truckers in Need
IMI has launched a Facebook campaign to donate to drivers who face health problems and financial difficulty by trading in “Likes” for dollars.

IMI has launched a Facebook campaign to donate to drivers who face health problems and financial difficulty by trading in “Likes” for dollars.
Over the next several months, the provider of tire balancing, wheel refinishing and other tire- and wheel-related products and services will donate $1 for every “Like” received for its Facebook page to St. Christopher Truckers Development and Relief Fund, with the goal of donating $25,000.
The campaign began in late September and is picking up steam, according to IMI, with its two most recent posts gathering a total of more than 850 “Likes.”
“As an industry we’re learning more about the effects the commercial trucker lifestyle has on the health of drivers,” says Robert Fogal, IMI president. “For example 88% of drivers have risk factors for chronic diseases like obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. We want to help organizations like the Truckers Relief Fund raise money to cover expenses for truckers and their families.”
