The throttle pedal assembly may contain an oversized magnet carrier, The magnet carrier acts as the pivot for the throttle pedal. An oversized magnet carrier may cause the throttle pedal to fail to return to idle, or bind.

Application of the service brake will override the condition.

Trucks Affected By The Paccar Throttle Pedal Recall

The trucks affected by the recall were manufactured from August 18, 2022, through May 8, 2023.

Last October, the maker of the component, Orscheln, informed Paccar that it had determined that there was a safety-related defect with its pedals. Orscheln and Paccar started working with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on a recall.

Dealers will inspect and replace the throttle pedal as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed March 17, 2025.
