In 2019, 67,000 roadside safety checks were conducted by the U.S. Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Of those, 16,347 vehicles were taken out of service and nearly 2,000 vehicles (12%) failed to meet basic cargo control requirements*, costing these trucking companies hundreds of millions of dollars.
