In 2022, motor carriers are again riding the rollercoaster that is the nationwide driver shortage. And thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic making truck driving an even less attractive career choice, the ride is rougher than ever for fleet managers.
Some industry veterans contend it’s more of a matter of churn—rapid turnover—than actual shortage. Drivers do know they are in demand and so they can be lured away with sign-on bonuses and other recruiting hooks.
On the other hand, shortage or not, the best run fleets aim to recruit and retain the safest, most professional drivers they can. At all times. In the long run, that will reduce recruitment and training costs and likely cut safety costs as well.
As for how to get there, there’s more than one route and more than one route can be followed by a given fleet.
That's why the focus of this HDT webinar is to deliver insights on how best to reduce driver-related costs and, at the same time, implement other changes that will help offset those costs as well.
Join us on March 15 at 2 pm ET / 11 am PT when Jason Walker, Chief Revenue Officer, Bestpass, will discuss a range of solutions to help fleets find-- and keep—drivers as smartly as possible.
