New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu has vetoed a bill that aimed to replace all of the state’s fleet vehicles with zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) by 2041.

U.S. Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation is immediately making available $2 million in emergency relief funds to help New Hampshire and Vermont cover the costs of repairing roads and bridges damaged by flooding from May through July. Each state will receive $1 million.
Five state legislatures voted this year to raise speed limits on some divided highways in their states. They’re following the lead of Texas, which last year bumped the speed limit on one stretch to 85 mph, the highest in the nation.
Legislation raising New Hampshire’s tax on diesel and gasoline has been voted down by the state Senate after being passed in the House earlier.
