Ruan’s Fleet Runs Smoothly on Biodiesel

Working with Renewable Energy Group, trucking giant Ruan Transportation has confirmed that using biodiesel blends is both sustainable and profitable.

The Iowa-based trucking firm has more than 300 locations nationwide and a fleet that travels 350 million miles a year. Among the benefits of biodiesel blends to Ruan are:

• Cost advantages compared to ULSD
• Delivering the reduced emissions its customers increasingly demand
• Strong fleet performance
• No modifications needed to trucks or fueling infrastructure

“For Ruan, it simply comes down to emissions reductions, strong performance and cost savings,” says the company’s director of procurement and fuel.
