The American Transportation Research Institute is seeking participation from carriers to update its 2014 Operational Costs of Trucking report. The report is based on a survey on basic cost information from for-hire motor carriers.

Carriers are asked to take an online survey covering topics like driver pay, insurance premiums and lease or purchase payments. They must also provide full-year 2014 cost-per-mile and cost-per-hour data.

The results of the survey will be combined with older reports to provide seven full years of trucking cost information derived directly from fleet operations.

The information, spanning 2008 – 2014, provides carriers with an important high-level benchmarking tool and provides government agencies with real world data for future infrastructure improvement analyses.

The results of the study will be available later this year. For-hire motor carriers can participate in ATRI’s survey online here.
