Dec. 22 – Deliveries by United Parcel Service will probably will set a record this month, restoring business to levels the company has not seen since the Teamsters strike in August 1997, reports the Associated Press.
UPS officials estimate they will deliver a record 300 million packages this year during the peak holiday season.
Although UPS’ air-express business returned to normal quickly after the strike, its ground-delivery volume took longer to rebound.
