Sept. 18 — West Virginia will join a growing network of states that have adopted PrePass, the pre-clearance system that allows carriers with proven safety records to comply electronically with weight and other operating requirements while passing weigh stations at highway speed. Operations will begin at the Winfield interchange on eastbound I-64, and five other locations are being considered.
