Allen Schaeffer, executive director of The Diesel Technology Forum (DTF) will present "Hot Topics on Clean Diesel" at the 2007 International Convention & Tradeshow for the Association of Diesel Specialists (ADS) on Thursday, July 12.

The Convention & Tradeshow begins Wednesday, July 11, and runs through Sunday, July 15, at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego, Calif.
"Allen's presentation will help attendees understand the challenges and opportunities facing the diesel industry," said Tom Folmar, ADS president and CEO of Southeast Power Systems Inc. based in Orlando, Fla. "With the recent innovations in clean diesel technology, it is more important than ever to understand what the future holds for the diesel industry in light of the latest research, products and legislation."
Schaeffer's presentation will address several hot topics including:
• ULSD and renewable fuels
• Greenhouse gas emissions
• New emissions control systems
• New clean diesel cars, trucks and SUVs
Allen Schaeffer is executive director of The Diesel Technology Forum, Fredrick, Md. Prior to joining the Forum, Schaeffer was the vice president of environmental policy at the American Trucking Association for 13 years. He has a master's degree in environmental health engineering from John Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health, and an undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland.
