United Parcel Service Inc., Atlanta, Ga., will provide $3 million in aid to areas devastated by the tsunamis across Southeast Asia.

UPS will ship emergency supplies, give cash grants to relief organizations and will match employee donations.
UPS is donating $2.5 million in in-kind services, $400,000 in cash grants to relief organizations ($200,000 to the American Red Cross Tsunami Relief Fund and $200,000 to other organizations) and up to $100,000 in employee-matching contributions.
UPS is airlifting medical supplies and other emergency relief items to Asia over the next several weeks. The company will provide lift to a designated list of professional disaster relief organizations. UPS is prepared to ship up to 1 million pounds of emergency relief supplies weekly via air, ocean and ground from Europe, Asia and the Americas.
UPS employees in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and India have collected necessary supplies such as clothing and blankets, which are being transported to the impacted areas. UPS engineers will offer logistics expertise to find the most timely, efficient mode of transport.
