SiriCOMM Inc., Joplin, Mo., announced it has raised $2 million through a private offering.

Siricomm is building a broadband communications network which includes truckstop Wi-Fi connections.
The company exceeded its original goal of raising $1.5 million. The board of directors approved oversubscribing the original offering up to $2 million.
"With the offering being oversubscribed, there is clear and growing confidence within the investment community in our business strategy," said Hank Hoffman, president and CEO.
According to the announcement, this and other financing will be used to build the company's nationwide network, to deploy its software, and as working capital for general operations.
