FFE Choses Software From Manhattan Associates

Supply chain technology provider Manhattan Associates Inc., Atlanta, Ga., announced that FFE (Frozen Food Express) Transportation Services Inc. has chosen Manhattan Associates' Transportation Management Systems suite

to increase collaboration between subsidiary carriers and streamline operations.
According to the announcement, FFE expects to increase collaboration between three business units: its dry freight truckload division, American Eagle Lines; its separate, affiliated carrier, Lisa Motor Lines; and the FFE fleet. These three units feature about 2,300 trucks.
Manhattan Associates' suite will provide control over FFE processes and resources. Carrier management functionality will enable FFE to adapt to real-time changes in its transportation network, optimize driver-to-load assignments, and determine the most efficient routes and fuel stops.
The Transportation Management Systems suite includes software products formerly marketed under the OptiYield brand name acquired by Manhattan Associates Inc. with the assets of Logistics.com at the end of 2002.
