The Mid-West Truckers Assn. has named Don Schaefer as executive vice president.
Schaefer has served as associate director of the group for more than nine years, responsible for legislative and regulatory affairs and editor of the association’s monthly publications.
Prior to joining Mid-West Truckers Assn., Schaefer had served as associate director with the Illinois Petroleum Council/American Petroleum Institute, as press secretary for state officials, and as news director for media outlets in Illinois and Wisconsin.
Mid-West Truckers Assn. has 2,700 members companies in 14 states and is based in Springfield, Ill.
