Transportation software provider Profit Tools announced the sale of its next generation of operations software to MCST Preferred Transportation.

MCST, a total logistics company in the frozen and refrigerated foods industry, contracted to implement Profit Tools for Trucking version 3.5.
MCST Preferred, established in 1990, provides brokerage, intermodal and specialized transportation services for the wholesale and retail food industry on both an export and import basis from their headquarters in Edison, New Jersey. MCST's intermodal division has three locations nationwide - Miami, Los Angeles and a new, state-of-the-art terminal building under construction in Jersey City, NJ. MCST's LTL division delivers throughout the United States and has an extensive distribution network throughout the northeast corridor for overnight service between Maine and Virginia.
"We were looking for a system that met a relatively complex set of dispatching needs within our company and provided a framework for future enhancements," explained Mike Cara, principal and vice president of MCST Preferred. "Profit Tools 3.5 was the only solution that met all of the criteria for our myriad operational requirements. They have been very willing to work with us on special project requirements including a critical interface with our Delfour warehouse software."
