Pennsylvania officials have announced that Interstate 80 through the north central part of the state is clear of any scheduled traffic restrictions and should remain that way through the winter.

All four lanes of the interstate are expected to remain open to traffic the next four months. The two major projects, upgrades and expansion of I-80 in the vicinity of routes 15 and Interstate 180, are shut down for the winter and will resume in March or April. The two projects are to be completed by fall of 2002.
