As a cost-cutting measure, the National Accounting & Finance Council of the American Trucking Associations has rescheduled or cancelled member conferences and meetings for 2002.

The NAFC Annual Conference and Exhibit Forum, which was scheduled for June 23-25 in Denver, will be postponed until the following October. The event will be held in conjunction with ATA's Management Conference & Exhibition set for Oct. 27-30, 2002, at the Marriott Orlando World Center in Orlando, Fla.
In addition, the 2002 NAFC Fall Forum, normally held in October and originally planned for Chicago, has been cancelled.
"NAFC is a council of ATA, which is responding to the current economic downturn by cutting back on expenses for 2002," said Richard Curtis, NAFC executive director. "NAFC will remain a viable organization within ATA providing valuable services to its many members. However, we have to be responsive to our members who also are facing similar budget cuts."
