U.S. Xpress, Chattanooga, Tenn., seated its 5,000th truck during special ceremonies recently.
Drivers Richard Whitmire and Sydney Pennington were the team chosen.
Sherry Bass, vice president of driver services, said the milestone gave her "an opportunity to reflect on the tremendous success our department has had. When I came here seven years ago, we had just over 1,000 trucks."
U.S. Xpress today is the nation's fifth-largest publicly held truckload carrier.
