Consolidated Freightways opens two new terminals this month in Phoenix, Ariz. and Laredo, Texas.

The terminal openings are part of a $17 million construction and upgrade campaign that is expanding the long-haul capabilities of CF's Mexico division.
CF's new Phoenix terminal sits on a 30-acre site in the industrial hub of the Phoenix metro market, with easy access to Interstates 10 and 17. The 121-door terminal includes 64,000 square feet of dock, office and maintenance space, and is six times larger than CF's original Phoenix facility. Ten acres are available for further expansion.
The Laredo terminal hosts the largest LTL distribution center on the U.S.-Mexico border. Located on Interstate 35, it lies 13 miles north of the principal port of entry on the U.S.-Mexico border. The terminal includes 93 dock doors, a 51,000-square-foot warehouse and an additional 5,200 square feet of office space. Laredo is CF's major point of consolidation services for all southbound freight, and a major distribution hub for northbound shippers.
The CF Mexico division operates 22 terminals - nine within Mexico and 13 in the U.S. southwestern states along the border.
