A Florida's sheriff's office is attempting to organize the world's largest truck convoy.

Truck drivers are invited to participate in the Law Enforcement Truck Run in Orlando, Fla., on June 27. The Truck Run will raise money for Special Olympics Florida and is also an attempt to establish the largest truck convoy in the world. Guinness World Records has been notified to authenticate the event.
The truck route will cover an area of approximately 16 miles. To participate in this event, drivers must become a sponsor in any of following categories: Guardian Sponsor, Gold Sponsor, Silver Sponsor, Convoy Participant or Private Donation. All trucks entering the convoy must be of 10,000 pounds GVW or larger. Tractors, tractor-trailer combinations, large straight trucks, low-boys, dump trucks, flatbeds, buses, large tow trucks, large box trucks, etc., are encouraged to participate.
All sponsorship/entries must be paid in advance and provide a copy of proof of insurance of participating trucks no later than April 18, 2001.
An auction process will choose the lead truck for the event. Opening bids start at $2,000 and will continue until April 18 at 12:00 p.m.
