McLeod Software, Birmingham, Ala., and Operating Tax Specialists Inc. (OTS), of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, have created a fuel-tax compliance system for paperless fuel tax reporting.
The new interface between McLeod's LoadMaster software and OTS lets carriers automatically calculate fuel, mileage and registration taxes using one of two OTS options. Customer can use OTS’s paperless Fuel-Tax Reporting service or RoadTax fuel and mileage compliance software.
The new system allows carriers to extract required fuel tax data from LoadMaster's dispatch system and transfer of data to either of the OTS systems. OTS uses Rand McNally-TDM’s IntelliRoute route management system to generate mileage and routing data.
"We are very pleased to interface with OTS, said Tom McLeod, President of McLeod Software. "We feel that this interface will be a very useful tool for carriers."
