Freightliner has decided to terminate a supplier agreement with Western Star Trucks made with Mexican manufacturer Dina to market its Class 7 Solar Series product line.
The termination will become effective in 60 days, according to contract terms.
Freightliner’s acquisition of Western Star closed on Tuesday.
Approximately 600 Solar Series products were supplied to Western Star by Dina to date. According to Freightliner, a marketing alliance with Dina or any third party does not fit well with its long-range strategic plans.
