Following its announcement that John McQuaid has resigned as president, the National Private Truck Council has made arrangements with Earl Eisenhart of Government Relations Services to help represent NPTC in the safety and regulatory arenas.

Eisenhart has previously worked full-time for NPTC in charge of its government relations staff, and before that worked for the old Private Truck Council of America.
Eisenhart has already started work on comments the NPTC will file on the Sept. 19 notice of proposed rulemaking on failure to pay civil penalties, according to Jerry Banik, chairman of the NPTC Safety Committee.
"We are committed to continuing to meet our members' needs, and to insuring that our voice will continue to be heard," Banik says. "I think our working relationship with Earl will serve us well."
