The American Trucking Associations has filled two key positions in its environmental and safety regulatory operations.

ATA appointed Glen Kedzie, a Washington, D.C., environmental attorney, to be the new Assistant General Counsel and Environmental Counsel. Kedzie will concentrate on environmental issues confronting the trucking industry. He will be responsible for the review and analyzation of regulatory actions.
Before joining the ATA, Kedzie served as Counsel for the Government Affairs Division for the National Paint and Coatings Association. Prior to that, he was Supervisory Attorney in the Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
Neill Thomas, a veteran truck safety specialist, will join ATA as Director of Safety and Operations. Thomas most recently served as Special Assistant to the Director, Bus and Truck Standards & Operations, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. His responsibilities will be helping the ATA advance safety policies on driver and motor carrier regulatory and operations issues, including commercial driver licensing improvements and drug and alcohol testing.
