Volva Penta, a division of Volvo, has signed a global agreement with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries to distribute diesel engines with cylinder volume between 24 and 65 liters.

The engines will be branded Volvo Penta and will be serviced by the company's global distribution networks.
Since 1997, the two companies have had a letter of intent to distribute engines bearing the Mitsubishi brand in selected markets in Europe. Deliveries of the new Volvo Penta engines will begin next year.
