Ryder Systems has signed an agreement with Greenwood Mills, a South Carolina-based manufacturer of denim and other fabrics, to expand current full-service truck leasing services to include dedicated contract carriage and freight management solutions.
Under the agreement, the Miami, Fla.-based logistics and transportation provider will manage the 24-hour a day shuttle of raw materials, goods in process and finished goods among six plants in the Greenwood, S.C. area. Additionally, Ryder will provide freight management for long-haul routes to a manufacturing facility in Georgia.
