Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems has begun expansion on its Elyria, Ohio, facility.
The expansion will increase annual production capability by 600,000 modulator units, and will also enable the launch of the next-generation of Bendix ABS systems, scheduled for Fall 2000.
The new ABS system includes the M30 Modulator, the EC-30 and the MC-30T, which will address the PLC-4-Trucks mandate on all new trailers and trucks intended for pulling trailers built after March 1, 2001.
