DaimlerChrysler and Hyundai Motor are reportedly negotiating a joint venture to build commercial vehicles.

According to the Korea Times, the two companies are trying to work out a plan for Hyundai's factory in Chonju which, with a capacity of 60,000 units a year, is said to be the largest truck plant in the world.
DaimlerChrysler and Hyundai are already are working together on the development, production and marketing of a small car. Analysts say the alliance could pave the way for something similar in trucks.
In the U.S., Hyundai Class 3, 4, and 6 trucks are marketed by Virginia based Bering Truck Corp, a joint venture with Hyundai.
