A spectacularly detailed dump truck and a fantasy-island combo shared Best of Show honors and won Harley-Davidson motorcycles at the Bordentown Petro’s second annual Truck Beauty Show competition May 20-21 in Bordentown, NJ.

Jeff Boyd’s 1995 Peterbilt tri-axle bested a strong field of bobtail competition. The Landisville, PA owner-operator, standing next to his new white Sportster 883, was clearly elated. “I never thought we would do it in a dump truck.”
Marv and Barbara Knight’s colorfully painted 1998 W900 Kenworth and Utility reefer called “Almost Paradise," flagship of the couple’s company, 77 Express, took Best of Show Combo and the black Sportster.
“He never in a million years expected to win it,” said Barbara, seated on the motorcycle behind her husband. Irv Carpenter, who drives the truck with his wife Karen, wept from happiness. “I’m just so excited,” he said.
Bordentown owner Fred Kirschner personally awarded his 5-foot “Fred’s Birthday Trophy” to Rod and Kim Grimm, Vinton, IA.
Cash and prizes totaling $5,800 were awarded to the various class winners.
The Bordentown Petro is located between Exit 7 on the NJ turnpike and exit 56/57 on I-295.
