As part of National Transportation Week, a new truck driver safety video on truck safety at rail crossings debuted yesterday.

The video, "Your License or Your Life," was filmed in partnership with the American Trucking Assns. Three professional truck drivers who appear in the video were recognized during the debut in Washington, DC. All have exceptional safety records, with at least 1 million
collision-free miles.
The new video will be added to Operation Lifesaver's safety training materials and distributed to trucking companies nationwide.
"The number of highway-rail collisions has dropped steadily in recent years, with fatalities from
crossing incidents reaching an all-time low in 1999," said Gerri Hall, President of Operation Lifesaver.
Operation Lifesaver, North America's highway-rail safety awareness organization, is dedicated to ending collisions, fatalities and injuries at highway-rail grade crossings and along railroad
rights-of-way. For more information, visit www.oli.org.
