The death of a clerk after a tractor-trailer crashed into a video store in Lambertville, NJ, has the town's mayor calling for stricter enforcement of the state's ban on trucks on local roads.

Mayor David Del Vecchio told the Trenton Times that Friday's accident never should have happened.
"This truck was coming from Massachusetts and going to Pennsylvania. It had no business being on this road," he told the paper.
The accident on Route 165 is still under investigation. The truck driver was southbound on Route 179 when he lost control approaching an intersection, hit three vehicles and climbed an embankment along Route 165 before crashing through the wall of the video store.
Last year, the governor banned 102-inch-wide interstate trucks from state highways not part of the federal highway system. It is unclear at this time whether the truck was violating that ban.
