"Turning Problems Into Profits: Managing Your Way Through An Oversupplied Used Truck Market," is the theme for the Used Truck Association's inaugural annual convention.

To be held Oct. 26-28, 2000, at the Mission Inn Golf & Tennis Resort near Orlando, FL, the convention "has been designed to offer real solutions to real problems," said UTA director and editor in chief of Newport Communications' Truck Sales & Leasing magazine David A. Kolman.
"A highlight of the convention will be a symposium on the convention theme," he noted. "Front-line industry representatives from all segments of the used truck marketplace will participate in a forum structured to sort out solutions."
The convention program includes industry-specific educational sessions, a workshop on Federal Highway Use Tax issues, a workshop on how-to achieve businesses goals and objectives, presentations by industry suppliers and networking opportunities and activities.
"If you can only be at one used truck meeting this year, this is the one to attend," said Steve "Bear" Nadolson, UTA president and corporate used truck manager for Stoops Freightliner.
A not-for-profit organization, the UTA has a twofold mission: "To serve those companies, organizations and individuals involved in the used truck industry in support of their primary business activities, and to be a leader in promoting professionalism in the used truck industry."
