Heavy, wet snow has closed a section of I-90 across South Dakota.

Scattered power outages were reported in South Dakota and Nebraska, while The South Dakota Highway Patrol closed a 60-mile stretch of Interstate 90 between Rapid City and the Wyoming state line.
"It rained like crazy last night. Now it's snowing like crazy," said Scott Brewer, assistant manager at the Windmill Truck Stop on I-90 just northwest of Rapid City.
A blizzard warning for lower elevations across the plains of western South Dakota called for 8 to 16 inches of snow and north wind blowing at 25 to 40 mph. At higher elevations of the mountainous Black Hills, up to 2 feet of snow was possible, according to the National Weather Service.
By 8 a.m., 18 inches of snow had already accumulated near Lead and Nemo in the higher Black Hills, with 8 to 14 inches on the plains.
