Landstar System is moving Landstar Ligon headquarters from Madisonville, KY, to Landstar's headquarter in Jacksonville, FL.

Landstar Ligon will continue to operate a recruiting and orientation center in Madisonville.
Company officials say the move is necessary because the Madisonville facilities are old and outdated. "This relocation provides better positioning for shared opportunities in the future," said Landstar Chairman, President and CEO Jeff Crowe.
In its new location, the 65-year-old company will share Landstar's new five-story, 180,900-square-foot office building, which currently houses Landstar System, Inc. and its subsidiaries, Landstar Gemini, Landstar Express America, Landstar Logistics and Landstar Ranger.
With this move, Landstar will operate from two strategic locations, the other at Landstar Inway headquarters in Rockford, IL. Landstar Ligon's final day of operation in Madisonville will be June 9.
