International Truck and Engine Corp. announced during a Thursday press conference at the Mid America Trucking Show it is going full steam ahead with its Internet offering.

Steave Keate, president of International's Truck Group, said that International will rely more on the Internet to improve communications between the company, its dealers and customers. One way they will do so is the launch of their new truck locator service, which can be found on International's web site at www.internationaldelivers.com. Its the first new truck locator that allows customers to scan an entire brand's dealer network for available trucks by state or province across the U.S. and Canada. Keate emphasized that while they have launched the service, the company has no plans to directly sell trucks over the Internet and bypass its dealers.
Customers simply enter in their desired specs, the state or province they would like to search and the ZIP or postal code and within a matter of seconds, a list of International trucks that meet such criteria, and contact information for the local dealer, are provided.
