Volvo truck dealer TEC Equipment Inc. has begun construction on a new state-of-the-art facility in Portland, OR.

The 118,000 sq. ft. facility, located on 12 acres along the I-5 corridor, will house a 32,000 sq. ft. body shop, a 30-bay truck service center, a 25,000 sq. ft. parts department, 18,000 sq. ft. of corporate and sales offices, and a 10,000 sq. ft. truck receiving and detail shop. The new facility will also have a 1,500 sq. ft. driver's lounge with an entertainment center, showers, laundry facilities and other amenities available at no charge.
The new site is only blocks from TEC Equipment's current location adjacent to Jubitz Truckstop. That facility will remain open as a 24-hour parts and service center once the new dealership is completed.
TEC Equipment was founded in 1976 as a used truck sales center. It has six West Coast locations: Seattle, two in the Los Angeles area, Wilsonville, OR, and two in Portland. A specialty service center in Portland will close when the new facility is completed in May.
