Arrow Trucking, Tulsa, OK, is expanding its driver training program and plans to add 250 drivers next year.

According to a report in the Tulsa World, the dry van and flatbed carrier has opened a new driver training center in Tulsa, as well as a logistics division in Houston and a new freight terminal in Laredo, TX.
The company is shifting its driver recruitment and training activities from its corporate office in Tulsa to a new $3 million, 24,200-square-foot driver services building about a mile north of headquarters. The facility includes 7,000 square feet of truck training bays and a 7-acre lot with a driving course.
With the bustling economy, particularly growth in the company's business in Mexico, Arrow plans to expand its fleet from 1,450 tractors today to 2,200 in the next four or five years. The company is spending nearly $500,000 a month in recruiting and training drivers, according to the paper.
