The Federal Highway Administration says it plans to grant exemptions from vision waivers to another 40 truck drivers.

Like other drivers who have been granted exemptions, these individuals have impaired vision in only one eye, have at least three years of professional driving experience with the impairment, have excellent safety records, and have agreed to annual vision exams.
Anyone wishing to comment on these exemptions must do so in writing before Nov. 8, 1999. The notice, with information on each driver, was printed in the Oct. 8 Federal Register and can be accessed at http://www.access.gpo.gov/su_docs/aces/aces140.html.
