Workers at Overnite Transportation's Laredo, TX, terminal have filed an election petition for Teamster representation.

"This campaign is on the move," said James P. Hoffa, president of the Teamsters Union. "Despite the thuggish attitude of the corporate bosses at Overnite, these workers want representation and a contract, and the Teamsters, with the 36 terminals we represent, will be with them every step of the way to see that they get it."
The Teamsters have been trying to organize Overnite since 1994, and claim the company has repeatedly used unfair labor practices, including "bogus" decertification campaigns.
