Werner Enterprises has signed a $750,000 contract with Lockheed Martin for a motion-based driver trainer system.

The system would incorporate low-cost, commercial-off-the-shelf visual and processing elements. These driver trainer systems feature day or night views, a wide variety of weather conditions, malfunctions and road emergencies, automated driver-performance assessment, actual vehicle cabins and intelligent traffic.
The contract is with Lockheed Martin's Information Systems subsidiary, a world leader in the military training industry.
